Live Play, Progressive Picks and Free Spin Bonuses in one of my favorite new Konami games, Ba Fang Jin Bao. There are 2 versions, Abundant Fortune and Fortune Totems. The base game plays the same with slightly different free spins. The base game is a 5 x 3 reelset. Wilds are only on reels 2, 3 and 4, while bonus symbols are on all 5 reels. Whenever a wild lands, there is a chance to trigger the progressive pick feature, ala 88 Fortunes. A Mini, Major, Maxi and Grand prize are available. At least 3 scattered bonus symbols trigger free games. At the start of the bonus for either game, you pick a symbol from 5 choices. During the free spins, if you win with your selected symbol, 2 things happen. One, the reels with that symbol will expand to fill full reel. You can get a full-screen this way. Then, in Abundant Fortune, the reels will expand up, to a maximum of 5 x 5. In Fortune Totems, a multiplier that begins at 2x, goes up by 1. Abundant Fortune seems like the game with the greater potential, yet Fortune Totems has been much harder for me to trigger free games (though I did win the Maxi in it).
