Summary

Live Play and a Big Win in Konami's new Hao Yun Lai slot. This is another Strike Zone title, which means there are betting options to activate the Strike Zone. In this case, you can activate each individual reel. The number of activated reels affects both the Fadeaway feature and the Pop N' Drop feature. The Fadeaway feature is triggered when a white wild symbol lands in an activated reel. In this feature, pays are first evaluated and awarded, then all poker symbols are removed and all other symbols drop. This continues till there are no more poker symbols. Pays are then re-evaluated. It's possible to trigger Free Games and/or the Pop N Drop feature after this happens as wilds and bonus symbols may drop in. The Pop N' Drop feature is triggered by 6 scattered wild symbols. They don't need to land in the Strike Zone to my knowledge. However, the number of activated reels determines which column of prizes are active in this feature. To enable all 3 columns of prizes, you need to activate all 5 reels. You get 8 free spins only. In this feature, you play a single-line 3-reel game that line up with the prizes above. There are lanterns with arrow up or question mark symbols. If a lantern lands with an arrow up, then you are awarded the prize that is immediately above that symbol. If a question mark lands, you randomly win any one of the prizes above. A group of firecrackers is effectively one prize. It seems you can win multiple jackpots/progressives in this manner. I like the multiple features in the game and would like to try it again for the Free Games. Taken at San Manuel casino in Highland, CA.
