There are 3 features: a random Borg Assimilation where certain characters and stacked wilds can turn to Borg (wild) symbols. If Picard is assimilated, he becomes a 2x wild. Encounter Free Games is triggered with starfleet symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5. If the first 2 symbols land, there's a chance Picard can "Make It So" and beam up the 3rd symbol. You pick to fight between Ferengi, Romulan or Borg with different levels of shields and multipliers. You can restore shields during the bonus which ends when you lose all shields and are hit. Finally, there's the Warp 9 Bonus Spins. Notice, I don't mention they're free because they're NOT! You get 9 feature spins where enemy ships with credit prizes land. If the Enterprise lands on reel 5, you'll get awarded all the prizes shown. Sometimes, the prize may be multiplied 2x to 5x. This feature is locked at the triggering bet level, but you can actually make other spins at different levels and then return to the triggering bet. However, each "bonus" spin still costs money per spin. While it's fun when it plays out, it really sucks that you have to pay for the spins! Overall though, I think the original WMS Star Trek games were waaaay better due to the number and frequency of features.
