Summary

Playing the new Sun and Moon Gold Slot by Aristocrat. I believe this is the first followup to the original title, which I think Aristocrat should do more often. I'd love to see updated version of games like Meteor Storm, Shaman's Magic or Red Baron. Unfortunately, this game ended up being horrible. The base game has the Reveal and Bonus symbols that are wild as before. In this game, premium symbols can now come stacked. On Reelset 1, reveals are only on Reel 2 and multiply wins 2x. If a stack of Reveals lands, Reelset 2 is opened. Reelset 2 has pyramids on reels 2 and 3. If full stacks land on both, the Reelset 3 is opened. Reelset 3 then has pyramids on reels 2, 3 and 4. Bonus can only be triggered on Reelset 1, but if you reveal a stack of bonus symbols with a 5 symbol trigger, you can trigger 150 free games. All wins in the bonus are 2x. Now, all this sounds good on paper - but in practice? I only managed to open the 3rd reelset twice in over a thousand spins. Very frustrating since the 3rd reelset opening guarantees nothing, just a chance at Reveals that could result in a mismatch. The 2nd reelset opened a few times, but never with a good result. I played the game on 7 different machines, over 5 different days and I don't think I got more than 5 Big Win celebrations which tells you alot since coin shows these days will appear even for 10x wins! Bonuses are frequent since you can trigger with 2 symbols. However, I triggered 24 bonuses, and the vast majority were under 10x, with only one I considered decent at just over 50x. I don't see the potential being so great that it has to be this hard for a good 100x win. Maybe it's just me and my bad luck...or maybe the casino made these too tight, who knows.
